Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Quiz | Infinity Castle Part 1: Characters and Battle Matchups

Muzan causes Tanjiro and the Hashira who have rushed to the estate to fall into a mysterious space. Their destination is the demons' stronghold, the Infinity Castle, where the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons begins; the story does not return to training or shift to a truce.

Tanjiro uses Water Breathing as well as Hinokami Kagura and has a sense of smell stronger than an ordinary person's. Even as he falls into the Infinity Castle, he declares his determination to defeat Muzan. Thunder Breathing and exceptional hearing are Zenitsu's traits, not Tanjiro's.

Tanjiro and Giyu face Akaza, Upper Three. Akaza previously fought Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku to the death and pursues the ultimate mastery of martial arts, the 'realm of the highest.' The opponents and ranks in the Doma and Kokushibo options do not match the official profiles.

The second battle trailer features Shinobu Kocho against Doma. As the Insect Hashira, Shinobu has extensive pharmaceutical knowledge and fights with a special poison capable of killing demons. Extraordinary physical strength is associated with Mitsuri, not Shinobu's stated fighting method.

Zenitsu's opponent is Kaigaku, who became Upper Six after the deaths of Gyutaro and Daki. Kaigaku was Zenitsu's senior fellow student under their teacher Kuwajima; he was neither Zenitsu's teacher nor his biological brother.

Nakime is responsible for dropping the Demon Slayer Corps into the Infinity Castle under Muzan's orders. She succeeds Hantengu as Upper Four after his death. Kaigaku instead succeeds to Upper Six, so both the predecessor and role in that option are different.

Upper One is Kokushibo, the samurai-like demon with three pairs of eyes; Upper Two is Doma, who always wears a smile; and Upper Three is Akaza, who seeks the ultimate martial 'realm of the highest.' Both the identity and the trait must match.

Giyu had believed that he was unqualified to be a Hashira. He then remembers what his late friend Sabito entrusted to him and resolves to carry on that will. His motivation is an inherited commitment, not ambition for another rank or a move to the demons' side.

The Infinity Castle Arc is a theatrical trilogy, and its first film is subtitled Akaza Returns. It opened in Japan on July 18, 2025. The format, subtitle, and date all need to match; it is not a television episode or a streaming-only release.

Aimer performs 'A World Where the Sun Never Rises,' while LiSA performs 'Shine in the Cruel Night.' The first option reverses the two titles. Go Shiina and Yuki Kajiura are credited for the film's music, but they are not the performers of these two theme songs.
