Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Quiz | Swordsmith Village Arc Episodes 1–11: Gyokko and Hantengu

Tanjiro learns that the damage to the sword he used in the Entertainment District has angered his swordsmith, Haganezuka. He therefore travels to the village where the swordsmiths live so that they can speak directly about a new sword.

The key operates Yoriichi Type Zero, a mechanical battle doll made to reproduce the movements of a real swordsman. It does not open the village gate or activate an evacuation system; it controls a device used for combat training.

The object inside Yoriichi Type Zero is a sword more than three hundred years old, but its blade is rusted. Kotetsu gives it to Tanjiro, and Haganezuka takes it away to apply the demanding polishing method passed down in his family. It is not ready for use when discovered.

After saving Kotetsu, Muichiro initially intends to hurry toward the endangered village. Kotetsu asks him to rescue Haganezuka and Kanamori, however, and Muichiro changes course in response. The decision is not an order from Mitsuri.

Mitsuri rushes to Tecchin, whose guards have already been defeated and whose life is in immediate danger. Kanamori guides Muichiro to a work shed to receive a sword, where Upper Rank Five Gyokko is waiting for him.

The four demons fail to disappear even when their necks are cut simultaneously, showing that this method alone cannot defeat the enemy. Tanjiro senses a fifth demon that may be the true target, and Genya moves to cut its neck.

Zohakuten, marked with the character for hatred, is formed when the four emotion demons merge. He attacks Tanjiro from behind just as Tanjiro is about to cut the fifth demon's neck, protecting the likely main body from a decisive blow.

Kotetsu helps Muichiro escape from Gyokko's Blood Demon Art. As fish demons close in, Muichiro remembers his father, who was a woodcutter, his mother, and his twin brother Yuichiro—not Genya or the Rengoku family.

Mitsuri first saves Tanjiro from inside a wooden dragon, then confronts Zohakuten in order to rescue Nezuko and Genya. She handles a barrage of attacks but is struck by a powerful blow, loses consciousness, and faces an attempted finishing attack.

The neck Tanjiro first cuts does not belong to Hantengu's main body, which moves to attack the swordsmiths in order to recover. At the same moment, dawn exposes the demon Nezuko to sunlight, forcing Tanjiro to choose between continuing the pursuit and protecting his sister.
