After realizing that two boys were inside the disguise, Android 18 sliced through Mighty Mask's cape with a Destructo Disc. Goten and Trunks were exposed and disqualified for impersonating another contestant together. Neither a weigh-in nor assistance from Mr. Satan revealed them.

Android 18 made Mr. Satan promise to pay her 20 million zeni. In return, she acted as though his special attack had defeated her and went out of bounds. The arrangement preserved his reputation as champion while giving her more than the ordinary prize money; he did not win through superior strength.

Dabura did not retreat because he feared Gohan. He recognized exploitable evil in the frustrated Vegeta and concluded that Babidi could use his power over evil hearts to turn the allies against one another. Ending the fight was therefore a shift to a more useful strategy.

Babidi's magic first causes Vegeta pain and leaves the M on his forehead. Babidi then transports the group to the World Tournament, where Vegeta attacks the spectator stands to force Goku to accept his challenge. Babidi, not Goku, moves the group there.

Vegeta has not simply lost all will. He uses Babidi's magic because of his desire to fight Goku seriously once more. Goku accepts the duel but moves it to an empty wasteland so that no one nearby will be caught in it. The two decisions serve different purposes.

Babidi's goal was to make the extraordinarily powerful Goku and Vegeta fight so that energy from their battle could revive Majin Buu. The fiercer their duel became, the higher the gauge rose. Their confrontation therefore accelerated the enemy's plan rather than hindering it.

Gohan and the Supreme Kai's attack does not supply the missing energy. The distant fight between Goku and Vegeta has already provided enough; just as the attempt to stop Babidi begins, the gauge reaches full and white smoke bursts from Buu's ball.

The ball is empty not because Buu never existed, but because the smoke that escaped from it is already gathering above and forming a body. Looking only at the hollow shell after its destruction therefore gives the wrong conclusion about whether the revival was stopped.

Although both fighters stop after sensing Buu's revival, Vegeta does not choose to cooperate with Goku. He takes advantage of Goku lowering his guard, knocks him unconscious, and leaves to settle matters by himself. Goku does not simply collapse from his battle injuries.

Dabura has not abandoned Babidi to help Gohan and the Supreme Kai. Seeing that Buu will not obey, he fears the creature will eventually turn on his master and decides to eliminate that threat first. The spear attack is his attempt at a preemptive solution.
