Attack on Titan Anime Quiz | Season 1 Episodes 14–25: Eren's Tribunal, the Female Titan, and Stohess

The tribunal must decide whether to hand Eren to the Military Police or the Survey Corps. Through Erwin's proposal and Levi's intervention, Eren is temporarily entrusted to the Survey Corps. He is neither permanently assigned to the Military Police nor returned to the Cadet Corps.

Eren joins the Survey Corps Special Operations Squad, commonly called the Levi Squad. With a large expedition scheduled in thirty days, he hears from Hange about experiments on Titans captured during the cleanup of Trost. The Stohess operation against Annie occurs later.

Someone kills the two captured Titans, and each member of the 104th comes under investigation. The culprit is not identified. When the cadets later decide which branch to join, Erwin discloses information that would ordinarily be withheld. Annie has not yet been publicly proven responsible.

The formation spreads scouts over a wide area so the force can detect and avoid Titans whenever possible. Armin then encounters the Female Titan, whose intelligent behavior distinguishes her from ordinary Titans. The formation is not intended to escort her.

The Female Titan devastates the scouts on the right flank. Although a withdrawal seems likely, the command group orders the force to alter its route and continue. This seemingly strange decision leads into the concealed capture operation.

The Levi Squad does not reinforce the soldiers holding back the Female Titan and continues riding. When Eren protests because he has not been told the reason, Levi does not simply reveal the entire plan or impose certainty; he leaves Eren to choose. The squad does not disobey orders and turn to fight.

The expedition is also an attempt to capture a person within humanity who can transform into a Titan. The Survey Corps lures the Female Titan into the forest and succeeds in pinning her with prepared restraint weapons. The objective is hidden from most soldiers so the enemy cannot learn it beforehand.

The person inside summons other Titans to devour the Female Titan's body and disappears in the steam. Wearing a uniform like the Survey Corps soldiers, she blends into their ranks, kills Gunther, and transforms again. The human inside is not consumed and killed with the Titan body.

Levi gives up trying to kill the Female Titan on the spot and limits the objective to recovering the captive Eren. By disabling her movement, he creates the opening for the rescue. Attempting both a kill and a rescue would add unacceptable risk to Eren.

Armin's plan has Eren, Mikasa, and Armin guide Annie toward an underground passage, where transforming would be difficult and she could be contained. Annie realizes the trap at the entrance, refuses to go below, and transforms to pursue Eren. They are not merely asking for an escort while unaware of her identity.
