Dragon Ball Anime Quiz | Episodes 1–13 and the First Dragon Ball Quest

The Four-Star Ball was a keepsake left by Grandpa Gohan, who had raised Goku. To Goku, it represented his family connection before he learned that it was also one of seven balls that could grant a wish. Bulma did not invent it, and it was not a tournament or training prize.

Bulma invented the Dragon Radar to detect the faint electromagnetic signals emitted by Dragon Balls and locate them. It does not create the balls or summon Shenron; its role in the quest is to provide location information.

The condition for riding the Flying Nimbus was purity of heart, not age, weight, martial-arts training or possession of a Dragon Ball. Goku's successful ride and Bulma's fall through the cloud demonstrate that condition.

Oolong could remain transformed for up to five minutes, after which he needed a one-minute break before transforming again. His ability was useful, but that gap meant he could not rely indefinitely on the apparent strength of his adopted forms.

When Yamcha first appeared, his intense fear of women was a serious weakness, and he sought the Dragon Balls to overcome it. His aim differed from Pilaf's desire for world domination and explains why Yamcha struggled to use his abilities whenever Bulma appeared.

Puar and Oolong were former classmates at the Southern Shapeshifter School, and both could change their appearance. Their meeting in the desert was therefore a reunion, not a first encounter. Yamcha was Puar's current partner, but he was not one of their shapeshifting-school classmates.

The plan to use the Bansho Fan could not work because Master Roshi had discarded it. He instead went to Fry-Pan Mountain and used a Kamehameha to blow away the flames. The object the group originally sought and the technique that actually solved the problem were not the same.

At Yamcha's direction, Puar transformed into a bird and carried the carrot-shaped Bulma away from Monster Carrot. The immediate priority was to secure the hostage. Puar's transformation into giant scissors belongs to the later scene in which he cuts off Great Ape Goku's tail.

As soon as Shenron appeared, Oolong spoke his own wish before Pilaf could make his, using the available wish and preventing world domination. Pilaf had successfully gathered all seven balls and summoned Shenron, and Shenron did not reject his request because of the type of wish.

Puar transformed into a giant pair of scissors and cut off Great Ape Goku's tail, ending the transformation and returning him to normal. The Great Ape had enabled the escape but created a new danger, so Puar used a different transformation to stop it.
