One Piece Anime Quiz | Episodes 201–210: Marine Fortress Escape, Long Ring Long Land, and the Davy Back Fight

To reach the dock holding the Going Merry, the group must cross a bridge extending from the central island. The Marine 55th Unit, nicknamed the Hot Wind Unit, has taken position on that bridge. The bottleneck is not inside the dock but on the single bridge leading to it.

The Marines capture Luffy in a net containing Seastone. Because Seastone is an effective countermeasure against Devil Fruit users, the device threatens him beyond the Marines' numerical advantage. Neither gold nor Skypiea's Swamp Clouds are used for this capture.

Nami realizes that the gold brought back from Skypiea is no longer aboard. It is important funding for repairs to the battered Going Merry. The crew therefore abandons its immediate escape, turns around under cover of smoke, and hides the ship in an abandoned dock as a base for another landing.

Inside the storehouse, Luffy and the others hold off the ambushing Marines while Usopp works on the lock of the enormous safe. The operation divides the group between buying time and defeating the lock rather than relying only on combat strength. Nami is not part of this four-person gold-recovery team.

With Luffy captured, Nami changes the situation. She defeats the Marines with Thunderbolt Tempo and recovers the gold. The crew then disguises the Going Merry as a Marine ship in an attempt to pass through the encirclement, using an attack and a deception in succession.

At 9 p.m., the ebb tide known as the Teeth of Navarone prevents the Going Merry from advancing and strands it on a reef. When Jonathan declares the ship completely surrounded, the crew turns to a plan using Usopp's Dials. The island and contest elements in the other choices belong to later events.

Long Ring Long Land is immediately distinguished by its long trees, long animals, and other elongated features. The story does not say that the Sea Monkeys encountered just before the landing transformed the island's life; the landscape already has its distinctive appearance when the crew arrives.

Just after Tonjit and Shelly reunite, Foxy the Silver Fox shoots Shelly. Enraged, Luffy accepts the challenge to the Davy Back Fight, a contest in which crews compete for members. Tonjit is not the person who challenges Luffy.

The first round is the Donut Race, in which boats built from barrels make a circuit of the island. Weapons and interference are permitted, so speed alone does not decide the result. Luffy's team and Zoro's team soon fall for seduction and feast traps and lose ground.

Nami's team clears the coral reef and uses an 'Impact' to accelerate into the lead. Just before the finish, however, Foxy fires his Slow-Slow Beam. It is Foxy's own late-race interference, not the Seastone net from the fortress or one of Nami's techniques.
