Sanji gave Gin a meal even though Gin could not pay, saving him from starvation. Seeing both Sanji's skill as a cook and his character, Luffy invited him to join the crew. Because Patty had already expelled Gin, this was not a meal served after Gin satisfied the restaurant's ordinary payment rules.

Sanji did not approve of Krieg's violence or attempted takeover. He simply refused to abandon his principle that a starving person should be fed based on whether the recipient was good or evil. The key distinction is between judging a danger and responding to immediate hunger.

Krieg wanted the logbook recording Zeff's year-long voyage through the Grand Line. After his own fleet had been destroyed there, Krieg hoped Zeff's information would compensate for what he lacked. He was not seeking cooking techniques or a swordsman's title.

Rather than drawing the black blade Yoru, Mihawk initially stopped Zoro with the tiny dagger he wore as a pendant. The choice visually demonstrated the enormous gap between them at the start of the duel; it does not mean Mihawk refused to draw Yoru for the entire fight.

Sanji kicked away Sabagashira One after Krieg threw it back at Baratie. Patty and Carne also fought in the defense, but their roles should not be confused with this specific interception. Luffy's use of Gum-Gum Balloon to return a projectile occurred earlier during the battle with Buggy.

Sanji's childhood dream was to find the All Blue, the legendary sea said to contain fish from every ocean. It was not an ambition someone gave him after he began working at Baratie; he already held it while serving as an apprentice cook on the Orbit when he encountered Zeff.

Luffy was not acting out of hostility toward the restaurant. Destroying the very thing Krieg wanted would remove the objective of the attack and, in Luffy's reasoning, stop Sanji from dying to protect it. This was a paradoxical rescue plan, not an offer to surrender Baratie to Krieg or a punishment for Sanji.

Gin chose to expose himself to the poison so that Luffy and Sanji would be saved. His sacrifice expresses the conflict between lingering loyalty to Krieg and his inability to kill the man who fed him. He did not keep a mask for himself and abandon the others.

Luffy did not merely avoid the armor and target a convenient gap. By refusing to give up and striking repeatedly, he broke the Wootz-steel armor itself, then landed Gum-Gum Giant Hammer to defeat Krieg. Breaking the battle spear was a turning point, but it was not the end of the fight by itself.

The cooks were not sincerely rejecting Sanji's ability. They staged the criticism to push him forward because his attachment to the restaurant kept him from leaving. Sanji accepted their feelings and his debt to Zeff, said farewell, and departed with Luffy. The apparent rejection was actually support for his dream.
