Inside the Ordeal of Balls, Satori anticipates the group's movements with Mantra and overwhelms them. At the same time, a different priest riding a bird appears before Chopper, who is guarding the ship at the altar. Satori does not travel between both places to attack everyone himself.

Shura uses a lance that ignites whatever it touches, setting the Merry ablaze and cornering Chopper as he tries to put out the fire. Former God Gan Fall then arrives to help him. Surprise Clouds belong to the Ordeal of Balls and are not the weapon that burns the ship.

Gan Fall is suddenly immobilized after becoming caught in Shura's Ordeal of String. Meanwhile, Luffy's unpredictable behavior disrupts Satori's ability to read him with Mantra. One battlefield turns against an ally through a trap, while the other creates an opening by defeating prediction.

Wyper uses the confusion to launch the Shandians' full assault. A giant South Bird saves Chopper from the sea, while Nami's group finds a clue to the truth of the land floating in the sky. Command, rescue, and discovery unfold in different places through different characters.

As the Shandians and priests fight in the forest, Luffy's group takes advantage of the confusion, passes through the cloud river without difficulty, and reunites with Nami's group. They do not receive an escort; a battle between third parties creates an opportunity to move.

Nami uses Noland's old tale as evidence to reconstruct a map of Jaya as it existed 400 years earlier, allowing her to mark the location of the gold. The plan converts historical geography into a present search route. The South Bird is not the tool used for this calculation.

The Straw Hats split into a team searching for gold and a team preparing to escape. At the same time, the Shandians resume their invasion of God's Island and three priests wait to oppose them. The factions are pursuing separate aims within Enel's survival game, not cooperating in one operation.

While fleeing the snake's venomous fangs, the four explorers become separated unintentionally. During this, former God Gan Fall begins telling the history of the sky islands aboard the Merry. Unlike the planned search and escape teams, this separation is an accident caused by the snake.

Wyper abandons both his ranged weapon and his protection to approach Shura. He accepts being stabbed in the left shoulder by the heated lance and counters with the Reject Dial in his right hand. This is a desperate entry into the opponent's attack range, not a safe defense followed by a shot.

Braham's mobility and flashing gun disrupt the distance needed for ordinary close combat. Rather than forcing his way into sword range, Zoro answers with the flying one-sword slash Thirty-Six Pound Phoenix. Advancing with a Reject Dial is Wyper's separate tactic against Shura in the preceding episode.
